Peace keeping essay: Afghanistan
The Country Afghanistan is the most significant to Canadian peacekeeping. Afghanistan is very significant to our Canadian peacekeeping because we have been involved with this peacekeeping for years now. It has come to the point where there is long term, immediate and widespread impact on us and Afghanistan.
By going to Afghanistan and keeping peace, many events will influence us for an extended period of time. Families lives change from this peace keeping and can affect people for a long amount of time. The peacekeepers have given up their own time to try and keep peace in Afghanistan and they will fight for it even if it means death. Death can affect a family for a life time. Family and friends have to know that there will be consiquences for keeping peace in Afghanistan but it’s the willingness and chances the peacekeepers take! By going to Afghanistan and sending peace keepers, the country is changing in a good way! We are trying to help the country out and in the end by changing their country bit by bit it makes positive influences and our peacekeeping has achieved greatness in the success of our absence!
Also by sending peacekeepers to Afghanistan we have immediate impact on the events. We always make sure that when we start a mission we end it as quickly and effortlessly with success and immediate impact! We make sure not to delay anything and our peacekeepers are trained to do that preventing it from not happening. The peacekeepers always know what their jobs are and therefor it results in great significance to our Canadian peacekeeping. In 2004 a constitution was signed and Hamid Karzai won the country's first direct presidential election, by the year 2005 the national assembly elections were held. This just goes to show you that the peace keepers have done a good, quick and efficient job with keeping peace!
