Nature vs. Nurture
One of the most argued about subject in psychology is the nature vs. nurture debate. In the essay nature vs. nurture he or she talks about this long debate. “Which one controls our personality, development, behavior, intelligence and ability”? (F.A.E.) Will we ever know, or can we ever know which controls our development, our future selves. This essay shows you that the debate is ongoing and there is no end in sight. It also shows that there is room for both and that at this time the one that is the main force in human development is unknown. The essay also says you need one with the other. The essay is written in middle diction, it is easy to read and understand. Yet it is semi-formal that if a professional person reads it they would give it the credit it’s due. The wording he or she uses flows smooth and concise. The essay can be understood by many people in all walks of life. This allows even the most educated person to the person with a lower education the ability to enjoy this work. He or she has made a good argument with the comparison of nature vs. nurture it is a topic that has had people at odds for a long time. The person that wrote this essay comparing the two and he or she brings out good points like, “genetic influence on traits and behavior is partial because genetics account on average for half of the variation of most traits”. (F.A.E.) When certain terminology is used it is explained in a way that you can understand. A term that is used is passive correlation; parents have a music gene they give to their child and the child can develop it. Another point that is added to this is that there is a need for environment to encourage the person to develop the talent.
